About Saeed
1972: Born in Karachi.
1988: Matriculation from Gulistan Shah Abdul Latif Boys Secondory School.
1993: B.Com from Govt College of Commerce & Economics.
1994: Joined MCB.
1995: (After untimely death of my father) Elected as GS MCB Staff Union of Pakistan.
1995: Nominated as GS PPP PS 114 Karachi.
1997: Nominated as President PPP PS 114 Karachi.
1997: Arrested along with few other union activists under false cases lodged by MCB after the dispute b/w Union & management.
1998: Arrested in GDA movement against Nawaz Sharif government.
2001: MCB Staff Union of Pakistan (Shaheed Usman Ghani Group) won the elections by securing 91% votes.
2001: Elected as NAZIM UC-4 Jamshed Town.
2001: Contested election for Town Nazim, Jamshed Town on PPP's ticket, lost by small margin.
2001: Nominated as Chief Whip of Awam Dost Group subsequently Parliamentary Leader & Leader of Opposition in City Council Karachi.
2001: Elected as member of Public Safety Commission karachi & Monitoring committee for Labour in City Council Karachi.
2002: Elected as Chairman Standing Committee for Council Affairs.
2003: Attended Seminars at Bangkok on 1) Privatization of Water Resources, 2) Human Rights organized by UN.
2004: UK visit to Study Local Govt. & Taxation System.
2005: Diploma in "Globalization & Labour Rights" from ISS The Hague Netherlands.
2005: Visits France, Germany, Belgium to Study Local Govt. System.
2005: Appointed as member of monitoring committee of PPP for Local Bodies Elections 2005.
2005: False cases were registered by regime before elections just to get me disqualify for LG election but by the Grace of God I succeed.
2005: Second time elected as NAZIM UC-4 Jamshed Town.
2005: Nominated as joint candidate of all opposition parties for City Naib Nazim Karachi with Niamatullah Khan (as City Nazim).
2005: Nominated as Leader of opposition for second time in City Council Karachi.
2005: Elected as member of Monitoring committee of City Council for Finance, Budget, Planning, Development & Accounts.
2006: Nominated as Secretary Information of PPP Karachi.
2007: Arrested in movement for restoration of Judiciary.
2007: Awarded PPP ticket for NA-251.
2007: Actively participate in arrangements of Shaheed BB's reception on 18 Oct 2007 in karachi & lost 2 young cousins Zulfiqar & Rashid in Karsaz Blast.
2009: Nominated as member of Co ordination committee of PPP-MQM-ANP.
2009: Appointed as member of Governing Body of Workers Welfare Fund Islamabad (Ministry of Labour) & Chairman of Investment Committee of WWF.
2009-2011: General Secretary of PPP Karachi.
2012 : Elected as SENATOR
